Terri Dyer

Maraha DickensTerri has been studying yogic philosophy most of her adult life and started the asana (physical) practice in 1998 as a way to express her deep love of life.  Through the asana practice she found a way to bring the song and dance of her mind, body and spirit together as one complete symphony.

Terri completed the 8 Limbs Teacher Training in January of 2004 and continues to study and be inspired by many teachers including Shiva Rea, Ana Forrest, Seane Corne, Rodney Yee and Steve Ross to name just a few.

Terri’s classes tend to be physically challenging which allows students to find their power from within.  She teaches  flow (vinyasa), linking breath to movement, integrating strength through grace, alignment through insight and wisdom through contemplation and meditation.  Classes focus on breath work, creating heat from within, core strengthening , creating space in the hips and shoulders, opening the heart through backbends and looking at the world with a different perspective with the help of inversions.  She encourages students  to challenge themselves with enthusiasm.  Her favorite affirmation is “approach life like a child looking forward to Christmas.”
