Class Descriptions
A.M. Yoga
A morning hatha class to awaken our bodies and center our minds.
Core Vinyasa
A physical practice emphasizing core muscular strengthening. Yoga can be a mirror that reveals both our strengths and our weaknesses, giving us juicy information with which to practice and play with. This class will offer a supportive and informative environment for us to connect deeper to the center and most important parts of ourselves within our whole being. You will warm up thoroughly, practice strongly and finish with a longer rest (savasana) for essential integration of this practice. All levels are welcomed and encouraged. Post-natal and post abdominal surgical situations would not be suited for this particular practice.
Hatha
Traditional asanas are held in accurate alignment. Emphasis
is placed on core strength, flexibility and balance as well as
concentration and breath control. Asanas' (postures) are explained
in greater detail and held for a longer period of time. This class is
based on physical postures (asanas), deep breathing, mindfulness
and listening to the body.
Hatha Basics
Slow, meditative, calm practice. Perfect for beginners
or even advanced practioners wishing to slow down. We use gentle
movement to welcome soft openings and mind-body awareness. This
class is designed for the student trying to regain their flexiblity and
strength. Perfect for anyone desiring a slow supportive environment.
Hatha Flow
This class will teach the practitioner to build skills into
flowing sequences with a focus on combining breath with movement.
Combined postures create a flowing series that promotes strength,
flexibility and endurance. Students learn to refine postures and move
beyond the limitations of the body and mind.
Soul Flow
This class is a heat building energizing vinyasa flow played to the rhythms of R&B and Soul. This is a level 1 class so the student should have a basic knowledge of hatha yoga. This is a fun class and combine Soul Flow with our restorative class it is no better way to end the week. Come dance with your breath.
Postnatal Yoga
This class is designed for Moms and infants (up to 1 yr). A special class addressing the unique needs of postpartum moms. Each mom is free to feed, change, play and tend to their baby as needed. Postnatal yoga provides a meaningful interaction between you and your newborn child.
