Class Descriptions
A.M. Yoga
A morning yoga asana class to awaken the body
and center the mind, a perfect way to start the day.
Hatha
Traditional asanas are held in accurate alignment. Emphasis
is placed on core strength, flexibility and balance as well as
concentration and breath control. Asanas' (postures) are explained
in greater detail and held for a longer period of time. This class is
based on physical postures (asanas), deep breathing, mindfulness
and listening to the body.
Hatha Basics
Slow, meditative, calm practice. Perfect for beginners
or even advanced practioners wishing to slow down. We use gentle
movement to welcome soft openings and mind-body awareness. This
class is designed for the student trying to regain their flexiblity and
strength. Perfect for anyone desiring a slow supportive environment.
Hatha Flow
This class will teach the practitioner to build skills into
flowing sequences with a focus on combining breath with movement.
Combined postures create a flowing series that promotes strength,
flexibility and endurance. Students learn to refine postures and move
beyond the limitations of the body and mind.
Five Elements Practice
A Shamanistic Yoga practice designed to clear the Body/Mind of past emotions that become stored in the body. The practice is designed to cultivate positive energy that transform emotion and will be used to heal the body, mind, spirit and ultimately the earth. This class is for anyone regardless of his or her fitness level.
Yoga for Newbe's
A hatha class designed specifically for the very
new to yoga, to learn the basics of yoga asana and pranayama (breath).
Yoga Therapeutics
Focus is on healing and opening traditionally over
worked areas of the body, where we carry stress and ofter injuries. By
developing the body's full potential through optimal alignment, the
circulation of blood, internal fluids and prana (energy) one finds harmony
for optimum health. When the body is aligned, the connective tissues
become stronger, more resilient, flexible and prana flows freely.
